What we gonna do?

Chatty could not stop/slow down SHS passing game, we will have our work cut out, but I think we can do a better job stopping them.

Chatty was down by 21-0 in their playoff game at SHSU and eventually lost by only 5.Chatty kicked 2 FGs inside their red zone which coulda been the difference maker had they scored TDs.

Our primary coaches who came from Chatty have all recently seen the Bearkats 1st hand in the FCS Quaterfinals.

The QB at Chatty- Bennifield-cannot hold a candle to Kyle or KJ.We are much more adept at all skill positions-WR,RB,TE,QB than Chatty.

The Huseman/Braithwaite 5-4-2 alignment will be key on handling Briscoe's short, down and in passes, that go for big YAC.

The Southland conference is not that great a league so those big scores Sam Houston puts up are a little skewed.

Boy - after seeing them on video, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why ESPN picked this game. We look better on paper - but this game is going to be fun to watch. Can't wait.

They give up a lot of points too, 30 ppg allowed is a lot. Giving up 48 to incarnate word is not good. Don't know why but teams that throw it around usually give up a lot of points. My dad has said to me before that it's because the defense practices against it and gets torn up all the time by it so they don't know how to stop it.

While we have no chance on their home field, I'm picking the Spiders.

While Sam Houston looks loaded, I don't think our guys will be afraid of them. I remember our defense when asked about UVA quarterback, Kurk Benkert, last year, our guy replied, that they were prepared for Ben ... Kert. Was funny at the time. Our guys will be ready, willing and able.

Sam Houston doesn't play any defense. If we get a few stops against their high powered offense we win going away. Especially if we get after their QB like jmu did.
