Brown Named Among Top-Five FCS Receivers

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Rising senior Brian Brown has already made quite a name for himself during his first three seasons with the University of Richmond football program.

Entering his fourth and final season as a Spider, Brown is on the cusp of history and his talents have been well recognized across the country. Athlon Sports named the Richmond, Va. native among the top-five FCS receivers in the country entering the upcoming 2016 season.

Brown is the only player in Richmond history to tally multiple seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards and will enter his senior season needing just 384 yards to break the program’s all-time receiving yards record, currently held by Tre Gray with 3,101.

Last fall, Brown earned All-American accolades, racking up career-highs in yards (1,450) and touchdowns (six). His 1,450 yards ranked third best in the country .

Brown and his teammates open up camp on Thursday, August 4 and will head to Charlottesville on September 3 for the season opener against UVA.
