I know Gwu has a game today vs Rhode Island. If we can't beat GWU. There is zero way we are beating St.Louis, Dayton or at St.Bon. So a must win no matter what. Mooney after a 20 point loss..... on the road.

I hope we drop all the remanning games to be honest. This team isn't going anywhere and more losses means more credibility on CM

GW already won at URI, Today is in DC. We will see if URI collapses again…

GW is pretty damn bad, typically we can handle those sorts of teams well enough. It all depends on if the team truly has given up on the season and we are freefall mode but the fans just haven't realized it yet. One things for sure, if we struggle with these guys we don't have a prayer against SLU, Dayton, and SBU.

Does it really matter……it was going to be almost impossible for us to win 3 games in a row….4 is impossible

And yet if we lose GW 8-6 UR 8-7…

I have a feeling SBU will whip us by 25 or so.

I can never root against our players and I hope they win all their games, but realistically I suspect your wish will come true.

I hope team can finish season in a good way. Maybe when I say they are soft it motivates somebody, even one person, because every team needs FIRE, I always wish them best but never believe in holding the hand anytime

I’ve reached that point in the season where I almost want the team to just lose. There’s almost no chance we get 20 wins which is the bare minimum these guys should’ve hit.

17-14 seems way more likely to get Hardt to can CM than 19-12.

I know this is unpopular and I will never root against the guys but man, just put us out of our misery.

The Colonials move ahead of us in the standings with a win against us. I'd expect them to be pretty motivated.

Jamion Christian may have them turning the corner.

You lose a lot of credibility in your post when when you call people names. It is not an effective way to communicate.

With that said, I will answer your question. Basimile could never have gotten by admissions. Rumor has it that he could even get back into Saint Cristopher's when he returned from Florida.
How are you so triggered that someone merely mentioning "truther nation" upsets you so much? He didn't call you out by name, not his fault that your guilty conscience automatically associated yourself with "truther nation"

lol name calling...u just called the kids intelligence into question and based it off a rumor. Shawshank was on last night...what did the banker say...how can u be so obtuse.

Also GW has a good academic reputation.

Touché. Much worse to call out a kids intelligence and academic pedigree without much support behind it.

Right, like GW is some dump of a school. Give me a break. It’s an outstanding school on par with us and Davidson as one of the three elite academic schools in the league. If Bamisile can get in there, let’s not act like he can’t get in here.

I remember going to GW many, many moons ago as a student to watch the Spiders play them in basketball. The student section at GW chanted often at Richmond — “safety school.” Not only was this the worst chant I’ve heard but I also was surprised they thought that about us…

Why is it so hard for some of us to get beyond Page 1 of the "UR Elitism Playbook"?

Boy, truther nation, guess that was hook line and sinker.

Interesting that the guy who claims PQ has relaxed admissions is calling out a guy on another team at a very good school. Wow. This is excuse mongering number 1 among truther nation :):):). And that is just an expression I use, if you think you are, then so be it.

I can tell you for sure that GW is possibly the only school that has less attractive women than William & Mary. That is saying something right there.

Had little knowledge of GW status but but quick look at three sites and UR and GW were like a mirror of each other academically. Like the Robins Center better than C Smith place after research. Robins Center just gives me that mini-NBA arena vibe. Well thought out initial construction along with great renovations. Good concourse area to move around. Only thing holding Spider B-ball back is the coach. SAD!

I been to Fenway and know it's 100+ years old but LOL at trying to get around. Thank God it wasn't Philly or I probably would have been a pick pocket victim.

I get your point but we have to think about the future of the program. Going 0-4 is the best thing Richmond can do for the program.

I am interested to see the Bamisile kid for GW. Looking at his stats he has had a pretty good year. 30 minutes a game with 15 points and 5 rebounds a night while shooting 45% overall and 35% from 3. Leads team in turnovers, but is also second in blocks and leads them in steals.

I thought this was a kid we should target in the transfer market to replace Francis. Went to VA Tech, had some good games there, but inconsistent. Looking to transfer, here we are in his backyard of Richmond - and I don't even think we were mentioned with him. Not saying he would have been the answer for this team, but he was a top 100 kid out of high school, local kid and don't think we even had a sniff with him.

So interested to see him live vs. the Spiders and how he does.

It's always safe to fall back on the "academically incapable" argument.
I had a friend ask me after the VCU game - what is the difference between VCU and UR? Are they pulling from the same recruits/players.

I had to remind him that UR has higher academic standards than VCU and therefore some recruits we don't even pursue or can't pursue because they can't get admission into UR. Not sure how many recruits this effects our program year to year, but it has been stated on this board many many times as to why we can't compete against bigger state schools.

But to me this is a self-inflicted policy. The NCAA is not restricting who we recruit. The A10 is not restricting us. We have restricted ourselves. And if we are willing to do that - then it can't be used as an excuse as to why we can't be a top team in the A10 year in and year out.

It would be like running a marathon barefoot. Then when you finish near the back of the race at the end, saying - well, yeah - but I ran it barefoot, that's why I finished near the back of the pack. But who told you to run barefoot? You could have run with shoes on - you chose not to, so no excuse.

Our admissions is our own policy. Therefore - we can't use it as a crutch to explain why we can't be on the same level of other teams.
