Russ' old team at Chatty is bad. 1-4 with a win over VMI and 4 blowout losses. Mocs got waxed by Furman today at home.

Charlie Fisher is doing a really nice job at Western Illinois. Leathernecks are 4-1 with their sole loss to a South Dakota team that looks like a title contender.

Somebody at Bellhaven needs to learn the proper name of our University

McCorkle is a very good coach who lettered at LSU for 4 years.
With young kids and a new wife(Gina) he was quick to realize that New-Ark ain’t the greatest place to settle down with his family.
Must have been a big culture shock downward moving from Richmond to New -Ark and spending a year there.
Everyone needs a new beginning.Says more about getting out of New-Ark than it does moving to a small Christian school in Jackson,Mississippi.Sweet tea is very plentiful in that friendly, southern city.

Most JMU Dillweeds cannot get the name of our university correct, calling it RU instead of UR.
They do it to antagonize us. Some folks are just stupid. Now that I think about it, that probably includes a good number of JMUers.

JMU brings in transfer QB from Pittsburgh, defensive lineman from UVA
John O'Connor·6 hours ago

James Madison's next starting quarterback may have arrived on campus this week for the beginning of the spring semester.

A JMU representative confirmed Friday that former Pittsburgh quarterback Ben DiNucci has transferred to Madison, where he will have two seasons of eligibility. DiNucci, 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, from Wexford, Pa., started six times for Pittsburgh in 2017, completing 56 percent of his passes for 1,091 yards and five touchdowns with five interceptions. In December, he announced he was leaving Pitt.

The Dukes have gone 14-1 in each of the past two seasons, winning the 2016 FCS championship and losing in the title game to North Dakota State this January. Record-setting Bryan Schor was JMU's quarterback both seasons. He was a senior this season, when he was backed up by 6-5 Cole Johnson, a Virginia Beach resident with two years of eligibility left.

According to the JMU representative, also arriving for the spring semester was former Virginia defensive lineman Juwan Moye. He was suspended before the Cavaliers' regular-season finale against Virginia Tech for a violation of team rules and lost his scholarship. Moye, 6-3 and 285 pounds, from Lilburn, Ga., played in 11 Virginia games this season with five starts.

In 2017, 12 FBS transfers played for the Dukes, and 10 came from schools that belong to Power Five leagues.

"We are at a place that attracts a lot of attention (from) guys that are looking to transfer. I get multiple requests a week," JMU coach Mike Houston said late in the season. "We have character people in our program. I want to make sure I protect that. We do a good bit of research.

"There is a reason they are leaving (another school). They could just be unhappy. All of the players we have brought in have handled themselves well."

And anyone who can sign his name can get in here.

Moye was suspended and lost his scholarship. Doesn't sound like a "they could just be unhappy" guy.....

He signed his name well enough for UVA originally but you are probably right. It has nothing to do with JMU as a rising program and everything to do with the fact that all of these transfers from multiple FBS school are too dumb to have any other options. I guess it all depends on how you look at second chances. You are dealing with kids. Confident Houston will hold them accountable. Our kid who threw a punch in the NT game was not thrown out (he should have been) but I believe Houston sat him the rest of the game.

Getting admitted to JMU takes little if any effort.Night and day compared to UR.We had to pass on St Chris OL because of academics.Quess where he is going?Yep,you guessed it.

rocco was huge in the fbs transfer game and one probably has to do it to stay competitive.

Don't like that Huesman has pretty much said he's not big on FBS-transfers. Get it you want them to have 2+ yrs eligibility, but to be competitive, you have to be open to all opportunities to bring in good players. Unfortunately, seems like JMU and some other FCS programs are recruiting these guys as much or more than HS kids. Could be all part of finding a way for them to go FBS. If they're going to do that, just wish they'd go!!!!

Guess Harbaugh wants guaranteed W’s rather than 2 possible losses.

URI currently tied with UCONN in the 3rd 42-42. Rams averaging over 11 yards a play on offense.
