Hard to believe. Spiders began game, dominating Albany as expected. But now Albany is dominating game. Both our offense and defense look bad. We really need to do something, this series, because the Great Danes, believe they can win.

One of our best drives, but we attempted FG on 4th and 1 deep in red zone, and Yoder missed. Game is in Albany's hands, with 4 minutes left.

Spiders escape with a 7 point win. 34 carries by Jacobi Green who was our offensive standout. I do worry that we might be overusing Green, he's taking a lot of punishment, but he is money in the bank.

On the Defensive side, David Jones set an UR record with 4 interceptions. Otherwise, we just didn't seem sharp today. But we have a win. If you had to have an off day, this may have been the ideal day for it.

Trick or Treat? Spiders nearly got tricked. This was a whole lot tougher game than I had thought I would see. Go Spiders!

Albany turned it around with the big special teams play returning that kickoff. I don't believe we've had a big kickoff since Justin Rogers. Our returns are mediocre at best, and we're terrible covering kicks. Yoder only has maybe 10-11 touchbacks in 50 kicks, certainly another mediocre stat.

Fire Legg

Without Jones's 4 interceptions we lose that game. We let up and they make it look like they were playing against 6th graders. We obviously need to play all out all the time. We need Fisher back to give Jacobi a break. We also don't pickup blitzs very well.

guys, this is not a perfect team, we have flaws but did anyone predict 7-1 at this point, first place in the conf and a top 5 ranking? let's celebrate what we do have. when we have an excellent game, in any sport, we feel that our team should perform at that level in all remaining games, does not happen, just does not. at this point the key is getting healthy, avoiding more injuries and winning, however we have to do it. i really like these guys, like this team, three more to go against tough opponents, let's do it!!

I'm celebrating, believe me! I even think the Albany comeback is a good thing for us. I'm just tired of zero improvement in kickoff and punt coverage, and kickoff and punt returns. Not just this year, but the past several.... You can't tell me I'm not right

Actually, our kickoff coverage seemed better recently with keeping them at 30 yd line or less. What I don't get is why Yoder isn't kicking it deep into end zone for touchbacks. He did that well a couple games. Seems a better option for us Hey, kicking it out of bounds and getting penalty would be better than giving up TD. For us, seems to be that 1 step fwd, 2 steps back thing. Will be interesting to see what adjustments are made for NH next weekend . . . and that goes for all components (O, D and ST).

One potentially concerning thing is that Broen and Diggs are really the only receivers catching passes. Its been a while since someone else had 3 catches in one game for us other than those 2. Just worried teams could begin keying on those options.

Would love to see Abell/TEs involved more, but at the same time don't fix what isn't broken, so it will be interesting to see if Brown and Diggs keep it up

heck, if they are open, that is where the ball goes, if they get doubled, then to the TEs and slot. with the numbers they are putting up, nobody is stopping them yet. in the umwcah game the analyst said that the pukes had to take one of those guys out of the game, they took neither. feel they think they can outscore their opponents, not to concerned with D but that dynamic changes a bit now with lee out.

How long must we suffer with Legg! Years of ineptitude on kick coverage. Please let him go or reassign.

I must respectfully disagree. The special teams (ST) effort has improved tremendously since the Maryland game. Our ST at JMU was outstanding. The onside kick execution at JMU was the turning point in the game. Now, should we have stopped the kick return for a TD in the Albany game? Yes. But that is why we have coaches.
