I don't know about you guys, but I am HYPED for this game tonight. A chance to give Davidson the clean three-game sweep and pick up another Q2 win. Did anyone stay up to watch the end of their ridiculous 7OT marathon last night against LaSalle?!? I couldn't believe that ending. They had to suit up their team manager because six other guys had already fouled out, and then he converted a four-point play with 2 seconds left to give them a 176-175 win. Amazing. Especially after that full-out brawl at the end of the third OT when JAG, Grady and Jones all got ejected. Feeling good about this one!

Definitely an A+ Legger for Spider Basketball enthusiasm! Davidson is so exhausted I will be surprised if they even show up!
 
I think it finally ended around 12:30. Considering that it started at 6:30, it was quite a marathon. They even had a second 20-minute halftime after the third overtime to test everyone for COVID-19. Never seen that before.

I was listening to McKillop's coach's show today, and it sounded like he might be suiting up a few of the Davidson girls' team tonight if his guys aren't all able to go. Could be interesting. A loss here would really crush our tourney hopes.

What a half so far from Sal! Ten points and four dunks. Impressive effort. Grant with three threes,too.
 
I'll admit I didn't see their win over Rhody coming, but there's no way they make the finals because we get them tonight. I was glad we got to rest a bunch of starters the last seven minutes of our game and still won by 23. I will say that amoeba defense that Fordham broke out last night was interesting. One more win and we should be in the tourney..

But....but......we beat Davidson so badly their NET dropped to 78. That could really hurt us in the eyes of the committee. :(:rolleyes:

Game starts at 730. Still time to mow the lawn, disinfect the basement and order a pizza.
 
Ok, I have to say... in one of the most significant examples of complete and total BS I have ever seen, the commissioner has ruled that we must play Davidson AGAIN tonight starting fresh from zero.

Apparently McKillop protested last night’s game on the grounds of some unknown hardship rule in the A10 bylaws that claims no team shall play the day following an overtime game of six OTs or more. When no one from the league actually had the bylaws with them, they deferred to a version on Wikipedia. But to me it looks like that version was last edited this morning by username SCurry30. I hope Hardt is going apesh!t about this to someone right now.

Normally I would blame Mooney for not having us ready, but considering we already beat this team last night, I am blaming the league. And of course VCU beat Dayton, so our path to the title would have been an easy one.

This was using seeding from this week but also using statistical expectations from the preseason, When the console game was produced.
