Where are other UR folks staying in DC? Will there be any alumni events going on at a particular hotel?

I would also look at the Grand Hyatt. I think that is the other hotel that is close by.

Will be a short trip if you’re planning on going to DC for the tournament, would be a waste of money to get a hotel. Just drive up and if we keep winning do it again. I’ll only go to the title game if we make it.

No hotel will make it a lot of driving. Driving to DC for each game, twice on Wednesday, 4 times Thursday, 4 times Friday. I’ll only go to games with A-10 teams…

Love the Spiders but also love college basketball. My sons are joining me. One son graduated from Gmu and my other son played high school and college basketball. Will make the best of the tourney and root for spiders as long as we win.

When watching the semifinals, don’t forget the NIT game vs Maryland.
It will be 40 years to the day!

I would go if it were in Florida. Tired of traveling to dangerous dumps like Pittsburgh, DC and NY.

I'm not sure, but when we had an event like this in Australia, students vacationed in pretty luxurious hotels. Of course, it was only the students who could afford it. It is unlikely that their institutions would have been willing to pay for a week's vacation there. But then again, I don't know if these were our students. The chances are high that they were exchange students from other countries. Specifically, I've seen these guys being brought to the nearby hotels. I noticed them the most around this hotel novotelcairnsresort. It's a really nice hotel, as I've vacationed there myself. If you visit Australia, I highly recommend visiting there.

I've never heard of a student exchange event in Australia. I'm very surprised that such a remote continent would have exchange students.
Guguta, Guguta, Guguta! Obviously coming on here to troll the pro Josh Duinker crowd. Many think Mooney should have played him more. Or maybe you dropped in from the 80's and are more of a Paul Webb fan??
