This is for everyone here, even the truthers (well maybe not the ones that won't be here pretty soon). Close your eyes and just think of how different everything was 8 years ago. We were winning almost 30 games for the second year in row, won the A10, went to the sweet 16 and were nationally relevant. Things were so different then, I was in 8th grade for crying out loud. I never thought that I'd be in my 4th year of college and Richmond wouldn't be back in the tournament a single time. We were filling up the Robins center and some of my favorite memories from my childhood are when my dad would pick me up from middle school basketball practice at BSH and we'd head over to the Robins center for a high level game that would likely be a win for UR.

Those days are long gone. Nowadays I'm a couple hundred miles away from RVA and even when I am home my dad and I don't even think about going to a game because it isn't fun anymore. I know there are others of you like me on here that remember those days so fondly. Mooney and this regime have sucked the life out of this program to the point where I could give a damn about what happens with UR basketball. More and more will continue to become disinterested like me and my dad and the only way to bring us back is to start winni again. I'd like to maybe be able to bring my kids to UR games one day and have the same memories with them that I did in my childhood. I just ask to close your eyes and imagine what that past era was like when we were winning them. Then open them and say "how the hell did we get to where we are right now". It really puts it all in perspective in my opinion. I hope the AD department is reading this.

Absolutely. I was a senior at UR back in 98....Coach Belien’s first year. Went to all our home games and CAA tournament games at the Richmond Coliseum and watched us upset South Carolina in the Ncaa tournament. Incredible memories. The whole school was excited and unified. Students, alums, locals, everyone. We are on the Eve of 8 straight graduating classes at UR not being able to experience that. It’s really not an impossible task if everyone gets on the same page and decides we “want” to be great. We will see what the future holds.

Technically, 5 straight graduating classes...the class of '13 experienced 2 tourney teams, for instance. But your point is still valid.

Would you please tell us what BSH stands for?

Could also be.....
  • Banned....Second Handle
  • Blue Stinkin' Hen.....for his worship of Danny Rocco
  • Broadway Silly Hater....for irrationally and repeatedly calling Rod Broadway an "idiot" before the Coach led the only undefeated team in FCS in 2017 and retired on top.
  • B***S***Hoax....for claiming he had inside information that Mooney would be fired after last season

Rod Broadway is a good coach. Those comments were uncalled for and very ignorant and stupid.
