lot's of cautious optimism around regarding our season...put me in that camp...even usually taciturn Coach Huesman had a few good things to say about our potential...some publications and preseason pollsters too...
Howard, as a multi TD underdog, should give us a good chance to demonstrate whether, or not, we have progressed further on the foundation that was built in the spring...and provide our younger players another opportunity for experience...all the while not showing too much to our tougher opponents down the road...
I'm really looking forward to seeing if our defense is as good as many expect, and how the offense performs behind our stellar offensive line...and if the team plays with the same personality it showed in the spring: passion, high effort and confidence...it looked like they were enjoying the game!
it's great to have Spiders football, fellowship and camaraderie back in person at The Brick House...with the heat wave broken I hope more fans will come out to celebrate the return of college football...
