Coach Huesman and six 6th year players get a "redo" of the 2017 home opener versus the Bison...this time Mike London will come later in the season and Howard will not be the "buzz" of the FCS world for having pulled the biggest underdog point spread upset in college football history a few weeks earlier...

ha! I'm sure Joe Mancuso hasn't forgotten his first college TD...

this game should set up well for the hopefully very hungry Spiders...not much is expected from Howard this season...anything less than an impressive win would be a disappointment for me!

I hope we see our guys play with the energy, speed and execution we saw most of the spring...

enjoy the Countdown...

Go Spiders!

I finally agree with the coach. They can t cover or tackle.
Other than that, me and the other 50 fans are enjoying the beautiful weather and offense.

More than 500 yards of total offense and we win by four touchdowns. I'll take it. We are 4-1 in our last five.

Curious for any reactions from those that attended in person. Watching on TV it was about as expected. Offense is a Durden offense although thought Mancuso has improved quite a bit. Easy though with no pressure. Defense front 7 looked good with secondary questionable. Didn’t feel like we learned much other than that Larson now can kick it into the end zone on kickoffs. With diluted 24 team playoff seems like we should be able to make it although don’t expect a deep run unless secondary improves (and they may) and we stay healthy.

Too much rpo...manicure missed some throws...like the kickoffs into the end zone...concerned about the run game and ability to stop the run vs team we should've dominated more but glad we shut them out in 2nd half....look forward to see how the Lehigh game plays out...things will get much more difficult after Lehigh

Mancuso did not check off well today. It could get him in big future trouble.

We need to do much better in the area between LB and DB.Our zone D was weak at times which will be carved up by upcoming CAA QBs.

Hard to tell much from today, played an overmatched opponent. Still, didn’t think the offense looked particularly crisp in execution - don’t think they can move the ball like this against a good team. D gave up a couple of big plays which you don’t want to see, but was good otherwise.

Surprised that Howard had that much success running between the tackles. Very concerning. But it's game 1. Let's see if it's cleaned up against Lehigh

3 true frosh played yesterday:

Bryson Parker
Angelo Rankin
Jerry Garcia Jr

Russ had indicated that these 3 will play beyond the 4 game limit in order to retain redshirt status.

On the OL-Singleton,Snavely,Settipani,Sumpter as well as the true frosh did not play.
