this dominating win over the tough Seawolves was arguably the Spiders most important win since the 2016 season...it was our third win over a Top 20 FCS team in a row...at 4-1 we controlled our own destiny in the fight for the CAA Championship...
the Spider Gang amateur video highlights are split between the stout defensive performance and the offensive explosion....
we all know the season ended badly, but unless this series of games was a complete fluke it demonstrated that we again could compete seriously in the CAA...it was a shot in the arm for the program and its fans...
the game was the highpoint of the 2019 season...I'm sure the players, coaches and fans were looking very much forward to the 2020 season with a more confident foundation to build on...losing the season was especially tough...
this highlighted game ends the football less Pandemic Season...it was my pleasure to look back over the eleven seasons of the Spider Gang...in almost every season there was at least one special game for Richmond fans that stood out for its history, drama and excitement...there have been many great times along the way...
if you've missed Spiders football, and the fellowship and camaraderie that comes along with it, I hope when real football resumes you'll make every effort to support the program as much as possible, our players and coaches deserve it...
