both squads finishing up disappointing seasons, but suspect the Spiders have a little more mojo going into "The South's Most Played Rivalry"...
have a feeling the Spiders know they finally played to the level most expected this season in the Aluminum Bowl last week...hope they will want to show the home crowd at The Brick House that they finally jelled as a team...
as a few have speculated this may well be Coach Laycock's last game in Richmond...I'm still not over the way he brutalized us almost every year in the 80s and 90s...it would be great to win this one and go to The Reservation next season for his grand finale' and another chance to even up the all time series...
it's hard to believe the season will end tomorrow...it seems it takes forever to arrive and then goes by in nothing flat...my hats off to the Spiders fans everywhere who went through the ups and downs of the season with the coaches and team...
I'm as disappointed as anyone about missing the Playoffs, but I expect we'll see tomorrow what a Russ Huesman Playoff caliber football team looks like...I think the future remains bright...let's go recruiting and see what we can make of it...
