2017 Richmond Spiders Football - Prologue - Towson

Coach Huesman seemed a little glum is his weekly media Q&A on Wednesday...as a head Coach with a long defensive background I can understand why...

Towson provides our last chance to put it all together on both sides of the ball, and special teams, before we get into the meat of our CAA schedule...I'm sure a complete, consistent game would be some wonderful tonic for the players, coaches and nervous Spiders fans...

but, it was a little alarming to this nervous Spiders fan when Coach Huesman predicted another 4th quarter football game at Johnny Unitas Stadium Saturday afternoon....I have no reason to doubt Coach Huesman...he's a straight shooter...

even if we don't get the complete and consistent game for which we're hoping, I'm believing our historic passing offense can out score the Tigers...again, Coach mentioned this week his uttering "just throw it every down" to the OC as we caught up and defeated UAlbany...

a one point win is just as good as a twenty four point win in the CAA standings...then we can worry some more next week about complete and consistent...win any way you can Spiders!!

I watched the replay. The low liner hit on the 10 and rolled in after their return man misjudged it. Doesn't count in my book. We still haven't kicked to ball in the end zone on a fly.

Trau missed another extra point, that's 3 already after going 42-42 last season. I didn't see a relpay so I don't know if it was a bad snap or hold, but if it's on Griff, I have to think that the preseason AA has gotten to him.
