According to game notes for tomorrow, we'll be honoring our six grad students and three seniors. Does say Grace, Goose and Sal can have another year "if they choose." Can't really read anything into that about whether those guys are planning to come back or not. Even if guys was planning to come back, they probably wouldn't make anything official until after the season and so would participate in senior day just in case. Might as well get two ceremonies anyway.

r they doing senior night Friday instead of last home game b/c of expected bigger weekend crowd and easier for family to attend? I assume that is why but just curious.

Interesting game, SLU last five games, playing like us, lose to good teams (SBU x 2, absolutely punked by Davidson) and beat LaSalle and Joes. Makes this one interesting, who will roll over first? Guys should be motivated for senior day and try to cheer Mooney up I would think?

UR Game Notes contains the following:

Richmond will honor its seniors and grad students in a pregame ceremony. Six graduate students (Nathan Cayo, Jordan Gaitley, Jacob Gilyard, Grant Golden, Sullivan Kulju) and three seniors (Matt Grace, Andre Gustavson, Sal Koureissi) are being honored. Grace, Gustavson, and Koureissi still have the ability to use their additional year of eligibility due to COVID-19 if they choose.

Says "Six graduate students" but lists five names - surely Nick Sherod deserves some "love" as well. And raises the question - isn't there any proofreading? That would have resulted in a failing grade of "F" from my freshman English prof!

They forgot Sherod. So, on point.

A lot of coaches start their seniors on senior day, so they left Sherod out on purpose to ensure Mooney doesn't put six guys out there again.
Mooney is going to call the usual timeout at the 4 minute mark to put in Sherod and Grace. That is a good time to hold a ceremony for Sherod.

SMH.

So is this the game day thread?

And will Goose for Wilson change the game from 1/2/2022?

I edited the title to make it more obviously a game thread if people want to use it.

Won’t be able to watch this game until really late or tomorrow. My prediction is I don’t know who will win but St. Louis is going to body us and have their way with us. I predict at least one possession where they get 4 shots up due to our inability to rebound.

They should give both Sherod and Grant checks for their 401K accounts or give them membership to AARP.

Again if anyone were awake at the RC, they might notice the following things are incorrect in the listings for the last 2 home games:
  • Senior Night Celebration • Help us celebrate our seniors' final game in the Robins Center!
    • There is a game on Tuesday
  • The game time for Tues listed there is wrong - game starts at 6:30, not 7.

I’m confused. What time is the start tonight?

I predict Spiders win tonight. Gilyard goes for 18, but gets 4 steals. Sherod gets hot off the bench, knocks down three 3's. Spiders win 75 - 68.

So you're telling me the position of "proofreader" is still wide open! Good thing this misinformation is not coming from a school that likes to brag about its academic excellence! - oh wait..............

Just part of a constant stream of things that don't come out of a well-run organization.

This game is on ESPN’s Streak for the Cash.

57.3% of people have selected Richmond.

Grace and Sherod creating their own senior day ceremony.
