Luckily for all of us,AGS poll has absolutely no relevancy now or anytime in deciding anything having to do with the playoff selection process

As we saw a few years ago though, you have to be in the picture early, or else the hill can be too big to climb to get enough recognition to make the cut. We're in good shape now, so just keep winning.

does the committee really look at or put much into these outside rankings or do they know better? even we question some of these sources which probably do not ever even see a fcs game. recall speaking with a committee member one year and he really knew the landscape though cannot speak for all of them.

AGS poll voters (self included) are some of the most knowledgeable FCS fans and game watchers. Selection Sunday will fit that poll more than any others.

I had Richmond at 19 in my poll this week. While I may agree they deserve better but when I vote I look at who we beat. I also look at the teams above strength of schedule. I am high on the Spiders but a win against Elon will move us maybe 2 spots, contingent on teams above them. Beat Nova and/or JMU big upward bound for Spiders by me.

You will find most AGS voters are harder on their team than anyone else.

No doubt there are great football minds who post on AGS.By the Sunday before Thanksgiving both of the meaningful polls-Stats and Coaches-will look the same. The AGS poll is a nice, fun hobby poll which is obviously tabulated weekly by conscientious and objective analysts.I'm sure that all their expert inputs and rationale are done without prejudice.Sounds like fun.

OK, i trust PA but don't really know any of the other AGS voters, unless MO is also one. that is the trouble with season-long polls, if you don't start high, a really false high, you may not make it and that is really a shame. polls are fun but should never be taken as an absolute or barometer of reality.

he is taking some time off but if we all stay on him, can get him back. we do need his thoughts and observations badly.

A lot of teams above the Spders lost Saturday. I expect to see them at 14 in AGS poll.

Mo: Gin, honey and juice may help. If not it will help you forget what is wrong with you in the first place.
